Most ladders are shipped unassembled in order to save on shipping costs and to prevent damage during transit. The packaging will typically include assembly instructions and almost all of the necessary parts such as the ladder bumpers, treads, nuts, plates and bolts except deck anchor sockets. Drop-in steps are suitable for both above ground and inground pools. Unlike in-wall pool ladders, drop-in steps can be easily installed on an existing pool. In addition, drop-in steps are less likely to damage existing pool walls and liners.
