To enjoy comfortable pool or spa water each summer season, the temperatures within your heater rise extremely high to heat water fast and efficiently. But, your Pentair heater is only designed to handle temperatures that go so high. In each Pentair pool and spa heater, high limit switches are included to protect your heater by shutting it down if the temperature gets too high. This built-in feature ensures that more extensive and expensive damaged is not done to your heater when there is a problem.
Over time, high temperatures, frequent use, and exposure to moisture and weather can cause your high limit sensor to corrode. If this happens, you’ll need to find a replacement that fits your existing heater.
The 471694 Pentair Hi Limit Sensor is suitable for use in Pentair Minimax LN, NT, STD and TSI heaters (models 200, 250, 300 and 400 and Pentair MiniMax CH heater (models 150, 200, 250, 300, 350 and 400). For anyone who has experience in repairing pool heaters, replacing this hi limit sensor is a fast and easy job that can get your pool heater up and running again in a matter of moments.
Be sure that the 471694 is the right high limit sensor for your existing pool heater model for a fast and stress-free repair.
Might be compatible with older models as long as the part number is listed in the product manual
